Brian Cox returns to The Royal Lyceum for a special evening of conversation and stories looking back on his six-decade career in theatre and screen, in aid of the theatre.
Brian Cox returns to The Royal Lyceum on Sunday 8 November, for a one-night-only evening of conversation and stories. It's a fundraising event, with the money raised going towards the theatre's year-round producing and its creative employment opportunities across Scotland.
Cox will be looking back on more than six decades in the craft, from his early years in Scottish theatre to acclaimed roles around the world, including Logan Roy in Succession. He's a founding member of The Royal Lyceum Theatre Company, which started in 1965, and he performed in its first production, The Servant o' Twa Maisters. Since then, he's returned to the Lyceum stage in The Master Builder (1993), Uncle Varick (2004), and Waiting for Godot (2015), with that last one marking the Company's 50th anniversary. His feature directorial debut, Glenrothan, is described as a love letter to Scotland.

It's an evening of conversation rather than a performance, and you can submit questions for him to answer. There's also a limited number of VIP seats that include a pre-show reception from 6pm with a welcome drink and a meet and greet. The main event starts at 7:30pm at The Royal Lyceum Theatre on Grindlay Street, Edinburgh West EH3 9AX.
