ALBA Berlin

ALBA Berlin play a&o Hostel Edinburgh City on Wednesday 28 October, a mid-week date that brings them to the city for a single night. It's a concert in the most straightforward sense: the band on stage, the music out loud, and the venue serving as the backdrop for the evening. If you've been following them, this is the next stop on their calendar; if you haven't, it's a good place to start.

There isn't a long list of support acts or a complicated bill to work through here. The focus is entirely on ALBA Berlin, so the set will be their own, from start to finish. It's the kind of night that lets you get a proper feel for where they're at right now, without any distractions around the edges. If you're into their sound, that's exactly what you're paying for: a full set of their music, played live in the heart of the city.

As for the practicals, it's a Wednesday night, which keeps it simple. The concert starts at 19:00, so you'll be in and out without it eating into your working week. Tickets are £139.61, and since it's a single-night date, it's one of those things you either commit to or miss. If you've been meaning to catch them live, this is the one. ALBA Berlin, a&o Hostel Edinburgh City, Wednesday 28 October, 19:00, £139.61.
