Aerial yoga flow guided by live tribal drumming from Cori of KOA Edinburgh, finishing with a relaxation and sound bath.
Cori from KOA Edinburgh is running an aerial yoga and primal drumming workshop at The Crags Centre on Saturday 5 December, from 4:15 to 5:30pm. It's a session that puts movement, rhythm and energy together, built around a soundscape of live music and drumming.
The main part of the class is an energising aerial yoga flow using a hammock, with the movements guided by the beat of the drums. After that, you'll finish with a fifteen-minute relaxation and sound bath. Cori leads the whole thing, weaving live drumming with tribal and rhythmic music played on a range of drums, including Moroccan ones and some she's handcrafted herself. It's a session that works with the beat rather than just having it in the background.
One thing that's worth knowing is that you don't need any prior aerial yoga or yoga experience to take part. It's open to anyone with a basic level of fitness, so you can come along even if you've never stepped foot in a yoga studio before. The hammock does the heavy lifting on the aerial side of things, and the drumming sets the pace.

The venue is The Crags Centre at 10 Bowmont Place in Newington, EH8 9RY. The workshop runs from 4:15 to 5:30pm on Saturday 5 December, and it'll cost you £25.08.
