Stand-up show by Irish comedian Aaron McCann, blending personal anecdotes with societal commentary, at Monkey Barrel Comedy.
Aaron McCann brings his show Momentum to Monkey Barrel Comedy on Monday 9 November, with the set starting at 7.30pm. It's a solo night, so it's just him on stage for the full run.
McCann is an Irish comedian whose observational material blends personal anecdotes with wider societal commentary. He was a prominent figure in the Northern Irish comedy scene for more than a decade before hitting the factory reset on his life and moving to New York City. That shift from Belfast to New York sits right at the heart of his background, and it's a good place to start if you're new to his work.
He's no stranger to a big room, either. He's delivered sold-out tours at Belfast's Waterfront Hall and Ulster Hall, and has opened for Shane Gillis, Daniel Sloss, Shapel Lacey and Grace O'Malley. In 2023, he teamed up with fellow comedian Colin Geddis to form the Bomb Squad Podcast, which has built a die-hard fanbase and taken them to sell out the SSE Arena multiple times. Momentum is his own show, though, so this is McCann on his own rather than as part of the podcast duo.
