Love at First Sign is hosting a singles night for the over-50s at Brewhemia on Tuesday 24 November, from 7:00pm to 10:30pm. It's an astrology-led evening, and the whole thing runs on their Cosmic Fusion App, which lets you scan, match and see who you're most compatible with in the room before the night is over. It's not a swiping app or an awkward mixer; the app does the heavy lifting on the compatibility side, so you can spend the evening talking to people you've already got a connection with.
If the whole room is up for it, there's an optional round of cosmic speed dating, and anyone who hits 85% compatibility or more with someone gets entered into a Cosmic Dip prize draw. It's a good way to break the ice if you're not the type to just walk up to a stranger and start a conversation.
The venue is Brewhemia, 1A Market Street, which they bill as the only Beer Palace in Scotland. It's right across from Edinburgh Waverley, and the space is built around twelve copper tanks of award-winning, unpasteurised and unfiltered beers.
