Concert by rapper Rittz performing on his Before The Drop Tour at The Roxy Theater in Denver.
Rittz plays The Roxy Theater on Saturday, November 7, as part of his Before The Drop Tour. It's one of 31 dates on a run that kicks off October 18 and wraps up November 21, so Denver is one of the middle stops on a pretty long stretch of road.
If you're not familiar with him, Rittz is a rapper from Gwinnett County, on the north side of the Atlanta metro area. He grew up in a musical family with parents who were into rock and roll, and he was rapping by the time he was 12. His early influences come from the Southern rap tradition: Rap-A-Lot records like Willie D and the Geto Boys, and Atlanta staples Outkast and Goodie Mob. Between 1995 and 2003, he fronted a group called Ralo and Rittz, which he billed as "the white Outkast" and recorded on tapes in his basement studio in Gwinnett.
After a rough patch around 2003, he came back into the conversation in 2009 when Yelawolf featured him on "Box Chevy" from Trunk Muzik. That led to the mixtape Rittz White Jesus, and he's been touring and releasing since. The Denver show is part of this Before The Drop run, which puts him on stage across 31 dates from mid-October through late November.
