Peter Bjorn and John (Writer's Block 20th anniversary tour)

Peter Bjorn and John play the Granada Theater on Monday, October 19, as part of their Writer's Block 20th anniversary tour. The Swedish trio is touring the record that put them on the map, and the Dallas date is one of the stops on that run.

Writer's Block came out in 2006, and the tour is built around it. If you've got the album on a shelf or in a playlist, you know the one—it's the record that gave the band their biggest song, "Young Folks," with the whistling hook that's still recognizable two decades later. The anniversary tour is a chance to hear that material live, and since the whole show is centered on that specific album, the set will lean heavily on the songs from that era.

Opening the night is Josh Rouse, a singer-songwriter who's spent plenty of time in Texas and has a long history of playing across the state. He'll take the stage before the main set, so there's a full evening of music rather than just one band.
