Paula Cole performs her album This Fire in its entirety on her anniversary tour, with special guest Rett Madison.
Paula Cole plays The Kessler Theater on Friday, November 6, as part of her THIS FIRE: 30 tour. The whole night is built around one record: she's performing This Fire in its entirety, with her full band behind her. Rett Madison opens.
This Fire came out thirty years ago, and this tour marks the anniversary. It was the self-produced follow-up to her debut, Harbinger, and it sits between that and the genre-crossing Amen. Since then, Cole has put out several independent releases on her own 675 Records label. She's a Grammy winner known for fearless writing and a sound that blends genres, and she was one of the instrumental forces behind Lilith Fair. She was also the first woman ever nominated for a Best Producer Grammy in her own right.
Her songs have traveled far beyond her own records. Herbie Hancock, Annie Lennox, Lissie and HAIM have all covered her work, and hip-hop producers have sampled her. This tour is one of her most far-reaching runs in years, with more than 50 dates across the US, the UK and Europe. The Dallas stop is open to all ages.
