Hip-hop artist Hurricane Wisdom performs live at the Trees venue in Dallas.
Hurricane Wisdom plays Trees on Sunday, October 11, bringing his hip-hop set to Dallas for the night. He's the only name on the bill, so it's a full headliner show.
Wisdom is a hip-hop artist from Havana, Florida, who has built a following around a specific sound: rapping and harmonizing emotional, thoughtful lyrics over smooth, laid-back melodies with catchy drums. It's the kind of hip-hop that leans more into the melodic and the introspective than the aggressive, with a focus on the songwriting as much as the beat. He's released breakout records like Lil Hurricane and Chronicles, and he's featured on the major hit "Got a Lil Older" alongside the platinum-record Jacksonville artist SpotemGottem.
If you're coming from the Florida scene, those titles will be familiar. If not, they're the two records that helped him carve out his space in the hip-hop scene. The set will draw from that catalog, and the show is open to all ages, so it's an easy one to bring a younger crowd along for.
