Concert by soul-blues guitarist and singer Eddie 9V at the Granada Theater in Dallas.
Eddie 9V plays the Granada Theater on Friday, January 29, 2027, starting at 7 PM. He's a soul-blues guitarist and singer from Atlanta, Georgia, who goes by his birth name, Eddie Nine Volt. He picked up his first guitar at age six and set out on a new path after seeing Howlin' Wolf at the 1966 Newport Folk Festival.
He's coming off a steady run of records. He wrote, produced, and played all the instruments on his 2019 debut, Left My Soul In Memphis, and followed it with Little Black Flies in 2021. In 2023, he put out Capricorn, which he recorded at Capricorn Studios in Macon, and then Saratoga in 2024. His 2025 album, DOWN HERE, was his first for Easy Eye Sound and took shape during sessions shepherded by Dan Auerbach at Easy Eye Sound Studios in Nashville. That record featured guest guitarist Marcus King and songwriters Pat McLaughlin and Daniel Tashian. He's drawn praise from the European and UK press.
