Special screening of Take Me Home, the 2025 AT&T Untold Stories winner, followed by a Q&A with director Liz Sargent and Bryce Norbitz.
Hamon Hall at Winspear Opera House hosts a screening of Take Me Home on Thursday, November 12, followed by a conversation with the film's director, Liz Sargent. The movie was the 2025 winner of AT&T Untold Stories, a collaboration between AT&T and Tribeca that gives emerging filmmakers the resources to get their work in front of audiences. For this one, Sargent received $1 million in production funding plus mentorship and support from both AT&T and Tribeca to bring the feature to the screen.
Take Me Home is Sargent's debut narrative feature. It follows Anna, a 38-year-old Korean adoptee with a cognitive disability who cares for her aging parents. Sargent is a Korean American adoptee herself, a two-time New York Emmy Award winner, and she draws on her background in choreography and her own perspective on adoption, disability, and family dynamics to tell the story. After the screening, she'll be joined on stage by Bryce Norbitz, VP of Tribeca Studios + Artist Development at Tribeca, for a conversation about the film.
