A night filled with candy, games, attractions, food and music at Woodward Park.
Woodward Park Community Center is hosting its Trunk-or-Treat on Wednesday, October 28, a few days before Halloween. It's a community event in Columbus, and the whole thing is built around the trunk-or-treat format: people back their cars into the lot, decorate their trunks, and hand out candy from them. If you've never done one, it's basically trick-or-treating in a parking lot instead of going door-to-door, which makes it a lot easier to get through a lot of candy in one go.
There's more to it than just the candy, though. The night includes games and attractions set up alongside the cars, and they'll have food and music going throughout the evening. It's the kind of thing that works for different ages—kids can run from trunk to trunk with their bags, and the games and food give the adults something to do while they're there. The music keeps things moving, too, so it doesn't just feel like a line of cars.
