A 21+ bass music night headlined by TVBOO, with support from OZZTIN, at Otherworld in Columbus.
TVBOO plays Otherworld on Wednesday, November 25, with OZZTIN opening the night. The show is presented by Disco Presents and the My Best Friends Party Tour, and it's for ages 21 and up.
TVBOO—pronounced 'taboo'—is the stage name of Mitch Draper, a producer from Jackson, Mississippi, who's making a name for himself in the bass scene. His sound is built on distorted textures woven through unique basslines and vocal samples, and he's put out a handful of tracks that have kept him on the radar: Wook Worm, Skrawberries, Got Dat, and Eat My Sass. He also co-headlined the Eat My Sass tour with DMVU, so this is part of a run that's been taking him across the country.
Beyond the music, Draper hosts a podcast called TVLKS with TVBOO. The first season brought in guests from across the scene, including Kai Wachi, Dirt Monkey, and Boogie T(), so if you're into the community side of bass music, that's a good place to get a sense of who he's talking to. The whole thing is presented by Disco Presents and the My Best Friends Party Tour, and OZZTIN will be on the bill to get things moving before TVBOO takes over.
