Free community trunk or treat with games, candy, activities and food at Grace Polaris Church.
Grace Polaris Church is hosting a community trunk or treat on Sunday, October 25, from 4 PM to 6 PM. It's a free event, so you can just show up with the kids and spend a couple of hours in the parking lot without worrying about tickets or a cover charge.
For those who haven't done one before, the whole point of a trunk or treat is that people back their cars into the lot, decorate their trunks, and hand out candy from there. It's a bit more contained than walking the neighborhood—you're moving from car to car in one spot rather than hitting the pavement for blocks, which makes it a lot easier to keep track of little ones. The church is handling the organization, so you'll find the candy stations lined up and ready to go.
Beyond the candy, there are games, activities, and food on site, so it's more than just a quick trip for sweets. If you're planning to bring the whole family, you can hang out for the full two hours and let the kids work their way through the games and activities between the candy stops. It's a community-focused afternoon, and since it's free, it's a low-stakes way to get into the Halloween spirit.
