Monthly midnight screening of The Rocky Horror Picture Show with a live shadowcast by The Fishnet Mafia, costume contests and audience participation.
The Fishnet Mafia bring The Rocky Horror Picture Show back to Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse on Saturday, October 31. It's a midnight screening of the Tim Curry cult classic, and the Fishnet Mafia are Columbus's official shadowcast, which means they perform the movie live in front of the screen while it plays. The audience calls back the lines and throws props throughout the night, so you're part of the show rather than just watching it. Costumes are welcome, and the night kicks off with a pre-show costume contest.
If you've never seen a shadowcast, here's how it works: the cast mirrors the action on screen in real time, acting out the scenes right in front of you. Between the live performance and the crowd shouting back the famous lines, it's a far cry from a quiet night at the movies. The Fishnet Mafia are a cabaret troupe that's made this their thing, and they're the ones leading the charge for every screening.
This isn't a one-off, either. They play the first Saturday of every month at Studio 35, and this Halloween date is one of their 2026 run, which includes January 3, February 7, March 7, April 4, May 2, June 6, July 4, August 1, September 5, October 3, October 31, and November 7. If you miss this one, there's another chance coming up shortly after.

Tickets are $10, and since these screenings usually sell out, it's worth grabbing yours early. You can also pick up a prop bag for $3 at the show, paid in cash or via CashApp, so you've got something to throw when the time comes. The screening is at Studio 35 Cinema & Drafthouse, 3055 Indianola Ave, Columbus, OH 43202.
