Weekly flea market with more than 200 dealers selling clothing, housewares, electronics, tools and art at the historic South Drive-In.
The South Drive-In Flea Market runs every Saturday, Sunday, and Wednesday at the South Drive-In Theatre, 3050 S High St, from 5 AM to 1 PM. It's been called the largest outdoor yard sale and garage sale in Columbus since the 1970s, and it's a massive operation: more than 200 dealers set up across the site, so it takes at least two hours to walk the whole thing. The dealers start arriving as early as 5 AM, and the early buyers are out there scavenging for bargains in the dark.
What you'll find is a wide mix of categories. Clothing and footwear are big, as are housewares, tools, electronics, and computers. There's art and photography too, and you can pick up fresh vegetables and produce. If you've got your own used items to clear out, you can set up and sell them for cash right alongside the regulars.
The market takes place at the South Drive-In Theatre, the only drive-in left in Columbus. It's a twin-theatre that's been running since 1950, with two screens showing up to three movies a night and a highly rated, reasonably priced concession stand. The theatre reopens every April, and the flea market has been a fixture there for decades.
