A four-day heavy metal music festival featuring over 140 bands across five stages at Historic Crew Stadium.
Sonic Temple returns to Historic Crew Stadium from May 13 to 16, 2027, for another four-day run of metal in Columbus. The festival is produced by Danny Wimmer Presents, who signed an extension with the stadium in July 2025 to keep the event in the city through at least 2030. The organizers describe the stadium as "the heartbeat of rock," and it's become the festival's permanent home.
It's a heavy-hitting weekend: more than 140 bands across five stages. That's a lot of ground to cover over four days, so you'll be bouncing between stages rather than sticking to one spot. The scale is what defines itβfive stages running at once means there's almost always something playing, and with over 140 acts, you're going to miss plenty of bands regardless of how you plan your days. It's the kind of festival where you pick a few must-sees and let the rest of the schedule fill in around them.

As for the lineup, the full bill for this edition hasn't been confirmed yet, so hold off on planning your exact movements until the official announcement drops. Once it does, you'll have a better sense of who's playing which stage and when. For now, the dates are the main thing to keep in mind: May 13 to 16 at Historic Crew Stadium.
