A spooky dog costume contest held at the Land-Grant Beer Garden, with prizes for the best-dressed pups.
Land-Grant Brewing is hosting Pup-O-Ween, a dog costume contest, on Wednesday, October 28, at 6:30 PM. The whole thing takes place in their beer garden, and the main event is exactly what it sounds like: a costume contest for dogs, with prizes for the best-dressed pups. If you've got a dog you've been wanting to dress up for Halloween, this is a good place to let them show it off.
For those who haven't spent much time there, Land-Grant Brewing Company is a taproom and beer garden in East Franklinton, known for rotating beers, craft cocktails, and ciders. They also have on-site food trucks, including Ray Ray's Hog Pit, which Food & Wine named the best BBQ in Ohio. The beer garden is a regular spot for weekly events—Trivia and Movie Tuesdays, Music Trivia Thursdays, and watch parties for the Columbus Crew, Ohio State football, and Formula 1. There's also the Gravity Experience Park, an outdoor adult playground with pickleball courts, hoops, and cornhole, and the brewery runs free tours on Saturdays at 3 PM.

It's a family-friendly space until 8 PM, and then it switches to 21+ after that. Leashed and well-behaved dogs are welcome outside in the beer garden and on the patio, though only service animals are allowed inside. Since Pup-O-Ween is all about the dogs, you'll want to stick to the outdoor areas. The contest starts at 6:30 PM on Wednesday, October 28, at the Land-Grant Beer Garden, 424 W. Town St., Columbus, OH 43215.
