A guided paint and sip session where guests paint a trio of 'Pretty Pumpkins' with a local artist, with an optional DIY candle add-on.
Pinot's Palette Short North is hosting a Pretty Pumpkins paint and sip on Sunday, October 18, from 2 PM to 4 PM. It's a local artist leading the session, and you'll be painting a trio of pumpkins—so you walk away with three on one canvas rather than just one. All the supplies are included, and you don't need any prior art experience to join in.
There's an optional candle add-on you can tack on, and the timing is the best part: you pour the candle at the start, and it cures while you paint, so you leave with both your pumpkin masterpiece and your own hand-poured candle. They provide aprons, too, which is a good thing because acrylic paint doesn't wash out of clothing. The studio is in the heart of the Short North, a neighborhood where local artists and artisans run hands-on workshops year-round, from clay and cocktails to floral arrangements.
Pinot's Palette describes itself as an upscale paint and sip studio, and they lean into the social side of things—corporate parties, special occasions, date nights, girls' nights out, family fun, and fundraisers. The session is built around autumn charm: you paint your pumpkins while a drink from the bar and music play along. Just a couple of house rules to keep in mind: outside beverages aren't permitted, and you'll need a valid ID to purchase or consume alcohol. If you're bringing kids, anyone under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian for any class starting after 5 PM.
