Outdoor gathering with local vegan food vendors and handmade goods; admission is free.
Nature Loving Fest returns to Ching Ter Maitreya Temple on Sunday, October 18, for its autumn edition. It's an outdoor gathering that marks the turning of the season, and this time around it's leaning into the harvest. If you've been around the local vegan scene for a while, you might recognize it by its old name: the Columbus Vegan Meetup's Vegan Pop-Up. It's the same community-focused day, just under a new title.
The day is built around about 20 local vendors, and the spread is curated with the season in mind. You'll find vegan comfort food and small-batch bakes—the kind of hearty, warming stuff that fits a cool October afternoon—alongside handmade goods and earth-conscious products inspired by harvest time. It's as much about the food as it is about the things you can take home.
Behind the fest is the Columbus Vegan Meetup, and they describe the event as a small, thoughtfully curated gathering rooted in nature, community, and intentional living. That's a good way to frame it: it's not a massive commercial fair, but a local meetup that happens to have a lot of great food and crafts in one spot. The focus is on the people showing up and the local makers who set up shop for the day.
