Weekly Wednesday night of live music from a rotating lineup of local artists at Understory, next to Wolf's Ridge Brewing.
Understory is hosting Live Music Wednesdays on Wednesday, October 28, as part of a series that runs every Wednesday from April through October. The music goes from 5 PM to 8 PM, so it's more of a late-afternoon and early-evening thing than a late-night show.
The lineup rotates, and the names that have come through include Faye, Liz Fisher, Norah Marie, and Elaina Arthur. Since it's a rotating bill, you'll get a different local artist most weeks, so if you've been before, it's usually a new face on the bill.
Understory itself is a sister venture to Wolf's Ridge Brewing, sitting right off the Olentangy Trail at 2571 Neil Ave. It's a multi-purpose building that houses a public Lounge, Commons, and Patio, along with a Private Events Room. The focus is on reimagined specialty craft cocktails, beer, and wine paired with a small-plates food menu, so you can eat and drink while the music is going. It's kid- and dog-friendly, and the Commons serves weekend brunch. From December through March, they rent out heated greenhouses.
