21+ electronic music night with Jade Cicada, Alejo, Petals and Popbot at Otherworld in Columbus.
Jade Cicada plays Otherworld on Saturday, December 5, with Alejo, Petals, and Popbot joining the bill. It's a four-act lineup, so you'll get a full night of music rather than just a single set.
Jade Cicada comes to Columbus from Lenox, Massachusetts, and works across a wide range of electronic styles. The list is long: glitch hop, midtempo, trip hop, uptempo, downtempo, bass music, boom bap, and electronica. That covers a lot of ground, from the slower, atmospheric side of trip hop and downtempo to the heavier, more rhythmic territory of bass music and glitch hop, with boom bap bringing in a hip-hop sensibility. It's a broad spread of electronic music, so the set could pull from any of those directions.
With Alejo, Petals, and Popbot on the bill, the night builds around more than just one name. It's a full lineup of four acts, not a single headliner. The whole thing is strictly 21+, so you'll need your ID to get in.
