Happy Chichester

Happy Chichester plays Natalie's Grandview (Music Hall & Kitchen) on Friday, October 30, at 5 PM. It's a solo set, and it's his final show of the year. It also closes out a run of four free happy hour shows he's played on Fridays throughout October, and he's billed this one as his last at Natalie's.

Chichester is a Columbus singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer, and he's a founding member of Royal Crescent Mob, Howlin' Maggie, and Twilight Singers. He's put out records on independent and major labels, including Sire, Columbia/Sony Music, and Elektra, and released his third full-length solo album, Torchwood Loop, on the PopFly label in 2013. His sound pulls from Madchester, political rock, art rock, funk, indie, and left-field pop.

He also works as a sideman and collaborator with the Afghan Whigs, Shawn Smith, Brad, Harmony Project Columbus, RJD2, Foley, New Bomb Turks, and Umar Bin Hassan. In 2013, he headlined his first solo U.K. tour, which earned him a ten-minute interview with the YouTube channel Kids Interview Bands and a 17-page feature in the British magazine The Elegant Savages—six pages of which featured his own pen drawings.

The show is at Natalie's Grandview, 945 King Ave, in Columbus. Admission is free and all ages are welcome. It starts at 5 PM on Friday, October 30.
