Free weekly mobile produce market run by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department at the Feddersen Community Center for eligible families.
The Feddersen Mobile Produce Market is back at the Feddersen Community Center on Thursday, October 22, starting at 2 PM. It's run by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department, and the whole thing is free for eligible families.
Here's how it works: if you qualify, you can pick up a one-week supply of fresh produce at no cost. It's first-come, first-served, so it lasts while produce lasts, and the offering runs throughout the year, not just as a one-off event. The market is managed by Jack Cimorell and Britney Payne, who oversee the program at the center.
If you haven't spent much time there, the Feddersen Community Center is at 3911 Dresden St. in Columbus. It's a lot more than just a place to pick up groceries—the building houses an art room, an auditorium, a ceramics room, a gymnasium, a dance room, a game room, a kitchen, meeting rooms, a sewing room, and a volleyball court. If you're looking to do more than just stop by for the produce, you'll need a Columbus Recreation and Parks Leisure Card to access the center's programs and facilities.
Every week we pick 🏆 the 5 best 🏆 things to do in Columbus and send them to your inbox. Just one weekly email, no spam.
