Ballet For the Love of Dance 2.0

BalletMet brings Ballet For the Love of Dance 2.0 to The Davidson Theatre (formerly The Capitol Theatre) in Columbus, starting with a senior dress rehearsal on Friday, April 2, from 11 AM to 1 PM. That's followed by two pay-what-you-want performances on Thursday, April 8, and Friday, April 9, both from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.

These shows are part of BalletMet's 49th season, which runs from 2026 to 2027 and stages seven ballets in total. The season mixes new work by emerging choreographers with a story ballet about Marilyn Monroe, a one-hour sensory-friendly production for children ages three and older, a modern interpretation of Bizet's Carmen, and a new world-premiere production of Swan Lake with live music by the Columbus Symphony.

The pay-what-you-want format means you decide what to pay, with tickets ranging from $1 to $100. The dress rehearsal on April 2 is a separate, midday affair, while the two evening performances on April 8 and 9 run from 7:30 PM to 9:30 PM.
