Expert session with Jen Patterson of Mango Consulting on nonprofit management and operations, part of the Columbus Library Ask an Expert series.
Jen Patterson of Mango Consulting will be at the Main Library on Wednesday, October 28, from 10 AM to 2 PM to answer questions about nonprofit management and operations. The session is part of the Columbus Metropolitan Library's Ask an Expert series for nonprofits, which runs through the Business & Nonprofit Resource Center.
If you're running a nonprofit or helping one get off the ground, this is a good chance to get a professional's take on the operational side of things—the management, the day-to-day logistics, the kind of stuff that usually stays behind the scenes. It's a drop-in format, so you can stop by with a specific question or just hang out and listen to what other people are asking.
The session is hosted by the Business & Nonprofit Resource Center, which is a dedicated workspace for small businesses and nonprofit organizations on the third floor of the Main Library. It's more than just a place to sit; there are specialized librarians on hand to help you find what you need, and you get access to business and nonprofit research databases that can be hard to track down on your own. The co-working area has Windows and Mac computers equipped with Adobe Creative Cloud and other software, and there's a private meeting room you can reserve for larger gatherings if you're working with a team.

Beyond these expert drop-in sessions, the center offers one-on-one 'Ask a Librarian' appointments for when you need a bit more focused help, and a four-week subscription to LivePlan, a planning resource for businesses and nonprofits. The session with Jen Patterson runs from 10 AM to 2 PM on Wednesday, October 28, at the Main Library, 96 South Grant Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215.
