Free monthly literary talk by the Aldus Society, with guest speaker Aldus Collects, held at the Thurber Center.
Aldus Collects comes to the Thurber Center on Thursday, January 14, as part of the Aldus Society's monthly literary series. It's the society's annual audience favorite, the one talk they bring back every year.
For context, the Aldus Society is central Ohio's hub for book lovers, staging free literary events and author talks each month for readers, book collectors, writers, and anyone who loves the printed word. They're an affiliate of the Fellowship of American Bibliophilic Societies (FABS), and their talks run on the second Thursday of the month, drawing on a wide range of book-world figures. Aldus Collects is the one that consistently draws the biggest crowd.
If you're not familiar with the society, it's a good way to spend a Thursday evening with other people who care about books. The talks are free and open to the public, and they're held at the Thurber Center, 91 Jefferson Avenue, Columbus, OH 43215, right next to the Thurber House. There's free parking on site, so you don't have to circle the block.
