Stage tribute to Michael Jackson with iconic dance routines and a live band, starring Ben Bowman.
Michael Starring Ben comes to the New Theatre on Sunday 25 October, a theatre tribute to Michael Jackson with Ben Bowman taking the lead. It's a full-stage production rather than a small club set, and it's built around the two things that defined Jackson's live shows: the music and the dancing.
Bowman handles the vocals, and he's backed by a live band, so the sound comes from musicians on stage rather than a backing track. The set draws on the songs that made Jackson a household name, and the dance routines are a big part of it — those signature moves that are as much a part of the songs as the melodies themselves. It's a tribute that looks at the whole package: the singing, the band, and the choreography, all together in one show.
