First Aid Kit bring their Visions of the Past tour to the New Theatre Cardiff, performing songs from across their career.
First Aid Kit play the New Theatre on Monday 25 January, bringing their Visions of the Past tour to Cardiff. It's a career-spanning set, so they'll be pulling from across their discography rather than sticking to one record.
For those who only know the big songs, the duo is sisters Klara and Johanna Söderberg, a Swedish folk act who've been recording together since they were teenagers. They really broke through with 2014's Stay Gold, and the lead single 'My Silver Lining' ended up with hundreds of millions of streams and a UK gold certification. In 2018, Ruins went gold in Sweden and picked up four stars from The Guardian, Q and NME, while Pitchfork described it as a showcase of their harmonies. Their fifth album, Palomino, came out in 2022 and was met with critical and commercial acclaim.

They've also worked with a fair few names over the years, collaborating with PINK, Jenny Lewis, Conor Oberst, George Ezra and Zara Larsson. This Cardiff date follows two sold-out shows at London's Royal Albert Hall, where they performed with the 65-piece Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra conducted by Erik Arvinder. The Visions of the Past tour takes that momentum across the UK and Ireland, with the Cardiff stop being one of the dates. Tickets are £52.50 to £54.50, and the show is at the New Theatre on Park Place, CF10 3LN.
