Sŵn is a three-day new-music festival in Cardiff that covers indie and alternative alongside folk, rock, pop and experimental artists. It runs as part of the Cardiff Music City Festival and was founded by Huw Stephens in 2007; 2026 marks its 19th edition, with the Clwb Ifor Bach team at the helm since 2018. The festival is aimed at adults interested in new-music discovery across small and mid-sized city venues, and Sŵn Connect adds conference sessions alongside the live programme. More than 150 artists across 10 stages are involved, with the 2026 bill listed at 119 acts.
