Ash performs their 1977 30th Anniversary Tour at the Tramshed in Cardiff, celebrating the Britpop classic album.
Ash are playing TramShed on Friday 4 December, part of their tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of 1977. The album first came out in 1996, when the band were still teenagers, and it went to number one and platinum, the record that turned them into Britpop-era icons. The anniversary edition marks three decades since that debut, and the tour is built around it.
1977 was a high-energy start, and the songs that made it are the ones most people know them for: 'Girl From Mars', 'Goldfinger', 'Kung Fu' and 'Oh Yeah'. The anniversary edition itself is out on 2LP EcoRecord Green & Black 'InkPlosion' vinyl in a gatefold sleeve, 2CD digisleeve with a booklet, and digitally, so you can have the record in hand before the gig.
