Major heavyweight boxing event between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua at the Principality Stadium, streamed live by Netflix.
Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua finally meet at the Principality Stadium on Friday 11 December, their first professional fight after more than a decade of failed negotiations and call-outs. It's a heavyweight bout for the vacant WBA 'super' heavyweight title, fought over 12 rounds. Both have dominated British heavyweight boxing and held world titles, and this is the first time they've stepped into the ring together since their careers began.
It's a massive night for Cardiff. The fight is co-promoted by The Ring, owned by Turki Alalshikh, and UFC CEO Dana White, and it's expected to break British boxing gate records, with ticket revenue projected at £26 million and over 80,000 spectators. Netflix will stream it live globally to its 325 million paid subscribers, with the main event scheduled for the early hours of Saturday morning after a full night of boxing.
Fury enters the ring with a record of 36-2-1, 25 of those by knockout. Joshua is 30-4, with 27 KOs. The fight starts at 17:00 on Friday, and you'll need to stay up late to see the main event, which doesn't happen until the early hours of Saturday morning.
