Fourth edition of the Cardiff Disco Festival, a Halloween-themed disco night with live bands, DJs, drag performances and fancy dress, running until 02:00.
Cardiff Disco Festival returns to Tramshed on Friday 30 October, its fourth year running. It's being billed as the biggest Halloween celebration disco ever, and it usually draws around 1,000 disco-loving partygoers, so it's a decent-sized night rather than a small club thing. Fancy dress is encouraged, which fits the Halloween date, and the whole evening is built around live bands, DJs and drag performances. The festival is put on by Nocs Collective and it's for ages 18 and over.
Because it's a festival and not just a single act, the night is a bit of a mix. You've got live bands playing, DJs keeping the dancefloor going, and drag acts in the middle of it all, so it's more of a full night out than a standard gig. The live bands bring the energy, the DJs handle the disco side of things, and the drag adds that extra bit of theatre to the mix. It's a long one, too — it runs from 19:00 right through until 02:00, so you've got seven hours of it to work through.

If you're planning to go, the practicals are straightforward. It's at Tramshed Cardiff, on Clare Road in CF11 6QP, and it kicks off at 19:00 on Friday 30 October, running until 2am. Tickets go from £7.50 up to £29.96, so there's a fair bit of room between the cheapest and the most expensive options depending on what you're after.
