Stand-up comedy show by James Schloeffel and Charles Firth about corporate bullshit, with two shows at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.
W*nkernomics comes to the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Friday 6 November, with two shows on the one night. It's the work of Australian writers and performers James Schloeffel and Charles Firth, who started it in 2023 as a way to help ordinary people navigate the modern workplace and to work through James's unresolved issues after more than a decade in the corporate world. Since then it's grown into something of a phenomenon: over 50 million views online, sold-out tours across the UK and Australia, two sell-out runs at the Edinburgh Fringe, and a debut book, A Deep-Dive Into Workplace Bullshttery*, which became a Sunday Times bestseller. Critics have called it 'exquisite', 'meticulously written' and 'the most original show we saw this year'.
The format is a Q&A-style, thought-leadership deep-dive into corporate bullsh*ttery, and it hits the things most of us recognise from our own working lives: pointless meetings, mission statements, LinkedIn influencers, and the word 'synergies'. It's a comedy show about the language and logic of the modern office, and it's recommended for ages 18 and over.
