Amateur production by Fletcher Players of Andrew Bovell's play about the Price family and the secrets of their four grown children.
Fletcher Players bring Andrew Bovell's Things I Know To Be True to the ADC Theatre this November, with performances running Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7 November, all starting at 19:45. It's an amateur production of the play, which unfolds across the seasons of a single year and follows the Price family: Bob and Fran, who built their marriage, their home and their garden together, and their four grown children, each drifting back with a secret they can no longer hold. Six voices, one family.
On stage, the roles are played by Kate Woodman as Fran, Felix Warren as Bob, Scarlett Coburn as Pip, Krish Misra as Ben, Sky Stobart as Rosie and Danny Andrews as Mia. The play's structure lets you see the family shift through the year, with the children returning home one by one, and the secrets they've been keeping coming to the surface. It's a domestic drama that stays close to the house and the garden Bob and Fran built together.
There's a content warning for this one: substance abuse, transgender discourse and discrimination, and mentions of death. It's a family play, but it doesn't shy away from the harder things that can pull a household apart.

The venue is the ADC Theatre, Britain's oldest University playhouse, with plays on the site since 1855. It's run almost entirely by students with no Faculty involvement and has helped launch the careers of Sir Ian McKellen, Stephen Fry and Emma Thompson, as well as the hit musical SIX. Tickets are £10 to £18.50, and the run goes from Tuesday 3 to Saturday 7 November, 19:45.
