Third annual Punkmas Extravaganza with ten bands of punk and power-pop, from doors at 2pm until close.
The Weasels Nest is back at The Tram Depot on Saturday 12 December for its third annual Punkmas Extravaganza. It's a full day of punk and power-pop, with doors opening at 2:00 pm and music running through until close — nine hours of live bands in one go. If you've been to the previous two, you'll know the format: a long afternoon and evening of loud, fast songs that stretches well into the night.
Ten bands are on the bill this time around. Amongst Strangers, Bambambinos, Bin Weasel, The Disagreement, Heavy Circles, Lara Price, Manic Stanley, Punching Swans, RJ Archer and the Painful Memories, and The Saffs. That's ten sets to get through, so it's a proper marathon of a day rather than a quick stop-in. With the music starting in the afternoon and going on until the venue closes, you can come for a few bands and head off early, or settle in for the whole run.
Under-18s are welcome, though that's subject to the venue's licensing requirements, so it's worth checking before you bring anyone younger. The Tram Depot is at 5 Dover Street, CB1 1DY, just off the city centre.
