Stand-up comedian Susan Calman brings her tour 'Tall Tales', a night of highlights from the last decade, to the Cambridge Corn Exchange.
Susan Calman is back on stage at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Wednesday 18 November, with her new show Tall Tales. It's her first tour in ten years, and the title gives it away: it's a night of stories, silliness and surprise, built around the most unbelievable highlights of the decade she's spent away from the road.
If you've followed her work, you'll know she's an award-winning Scottish stand-up comedian, writer and actress, and a long-time Edinburgh Fringe favourite. Critics have called her one of the best female comics to come out of Scotland, and she's spent years as a fixture of BBC Radio 4. Her credits there include The News Quiz, The Unbelievable Truth, The Now Show, Dilemma, ISIHAC and So Wrong it's Right, and she's presented Woman's Hour and hosted Listomania on Radio 2. Her third solo radio series, Keep Calman and Carry On, aired in spring 2016.
On screen, she's a familiar face from Have I Got News for You, QI, Mock the Week, 8 Out of 10 Cats, Would I Lie To You and House of Games — and, a long time ago, Strictly Come Dancing. Tall Tales pulls together the strangest things that have happened to her since her last tour: cruising the world, driving tanks, her love of cats and the trials of getting older. It's a decade's worth of life gathered into one night, told with the same wit and storytelling she's known for.
