Teenage Fanclub play Cambridge Junction on a standing show, part of their European tour.
Teenage Fanclub play Cambridge Junction on Tuesday 3 November, part of a European tour that takes them through 35 dates across Spain, France, Belgium, Germany, the Netherlands, the UK and Ireland. It's a long run, and Cambridge is one of the stops on the UK leg.
The band frames the tour as 'the anniversary of everything and the anniversary of nothing'. Norman Blake puts some numbers to it: it's been 37 years since their first show in 1989. Raymond McGinley adds that they still see themselves as a contemporary band, and they keep any work in progress to themselves until they're ready to release new songs. So while the tour looks back, they're not presenting themselves as a heritage act.
It's Teenage Fanclub on their own, with no support listed. The show is in J1, the standing area, which puts you right in the thick of it rather than in a seated row. If you're bringing anyone younger, under-14s have to be accompanied by an adult.
