Shed Seven play their winter tour 'Shedcember X', marking 30 years of 'A Maximum High', with special guests The Academic.
Shed Seven return to the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Monday 30 November, part of their winter tour Shedcember X. They're joined by special guests The Academic, so there are two bands on the bill that night. The tour is the tenth edition of Shedcember, a run that's been going since 2007 and has become a bit of a cult institution for them — frontman Rick Witter describes it as the definitive start to the festive season.
It's a big year for the band. They're coming off two UK Number 1 albums in 2024, A Matter Of Time and Liquid Gold, and they're marking 30 years of A Maximum High and their song 'Chasing Rainbows'. The whole run doubles as a celebration of three decades together, and lead guitarist Paul Banks wrote and directed a fan-focused film to mark the tenth anniversary of the tour.
On the night, they'll play a career-spanning set that reaches back across those years. 'Going For Gold', 'Chasing Rainbows', 'Disco Down', 'On Standby' and 'Talk Of The Town' are all on the list, and Witter has promised the big hits alongside a few surprises. The Academic open the evening, so you'll get two acts for the price of one.
