Acoustic folk and roots night in the cabaret-style New Routes series with singer-songwriter Angie Collins (BĂȘte Noire) and Dan Wilde.
BĂȘte Noire and Dan Wilde play Cambridge Junction on Saturday 24 October, as part of the New Routes series. It's an acoustic, folk and roots night, set out in cabaret style with candles on the tables.
BĂȘte Noire is the stage name of singer-songwriter and pianist Angie Collins. Her songs drift across folk, jazz and blues in warm, smokey tones that call to mind Norah Jones or Amy Winehouse, backed by a band of Cambridge's finest music icons. Dan Wilde is a Lancashire-based singer-songwriter from Blackpool, known for his richly observant writing and Fylde-endorsed guitar playing. He's toured Europe and the US and played at major UK folk festivals including Beverley Folk Festival, Kendal Calling and Cambridge Folk Festival, supporting artists such as Rick Astley, Ethan Johns, John Smith, Karine Polwart and Cara Dillon.
