Live show by country music duet My Darling Clementine, with their back catalogue, new solo albums and a re-interpretation of Elvis Costello songs.
My Darling Clementine play Cambridge Junction on Saturday 13 February 2027, starting at 8:00 PM. The duo is Michael Weston King and Lou Dalgleish, who have worked together as country duettists since 2011. Individually they're both songwriters and singers, and they've worked with Nick Cave, Bryan Ferry, Steve Earle, Nils Lofgren, Ron Sexsmith and Graham Parker. Together they've put out six albums and picked up awards across the UK, Scandinavia and North America, with their songs covered by more than 50 artists.
Their current show splits an extensive back-catalogue against material from their new solo albums. On the older side, you'll hear the 2021 album Country Darkness and a re-interpretation of Elvis Costello songs they recorded with Steve Nieve. The newer half comes from Michael's Nothing Can Hurt Me Anymore and Lou's The Leaving And The Left Behind. It's a set that draws from both their joint work and their separate solo records.
There are a couple of individual songs worth mentioning. Lou's 'No Matter What Tammy Said' was named one of the top 25 country songs of the 21st Century by Country Music People magazine, and Michael's 'Riding The Range' was recorded by the late Townes Van Zandt. Those two names — Country Music People and Townes Van Zandt — give you a fair idea of the territory they're working in.
