Stand-up show 'Whatsherface' by Maisie Adam, the Taskmaster star, at the Cambridge Corn Exchange.
Maisie Adam brings her new show, Whatsherface, to the Cambridge Corn Exchange on Sunday 25 October. It's part of her UK tour, so this is one of the few times she'll be playing in the city.
If you've caught her on TV lately, you'll know where she's been. She's come straight off Taskmaster, A League Of Their Own and Last One Laughing, and Whatsherface is her first new stand-up show since then. She describes it as bringing her trademark wit, firecracker gags and probably a few angry outbursts along the way.
The title has a funny story behind it. It comes from a description her best friend's mum gave of her at a wedding: 'the tall, chaotic one with the weird hair'. It's a good summary of the kind of material she works with — the sort of specific, slightly awkward detail that usually lands well on stage.

She's not new to the circuit, either. Adam won the Amused Moose National New Comic in 2018 and So You Think You're Funny in 2017, so she's been building this for a while. The Cambridge date is one stop on a wider UK tour, rather than a one-off.
Practical bits: the show starts at 19:30 at the Cambridge Corn Exchange on 2 Wheeler Street, CB2 3QB. Tickets are £28.00, which includes the booking fee. The venue advises that latecomers may not be admitted, and the show is for ages 16 and over.
