Guided festive wreath-making workshop led by the florists at Studio Artemis, with all materials provided, fizz and a cream tea.
Studio Artemis are hosting a luxury Christmas wreath-making workshop at the University Arms on Saturday 28 November, from 11:00 to 13:30. It's a morning session led by their florists, who'll guide you through the textures, scents and traditional techniques of wreath-making. The whole thing is pitched as an intimate, relaxed experience, and you'll take home your finished handcrafted wreath to display throughout the season.
One of the best bits is that you don't need to bring anything with you. All the materials are provided, so you can just turn up and get stuck in without worrying about sourcing your own foliage or tools. The making is paired with a glass of fizz, festive refreshments and a classic cream tea, so it's as much about the treats as it is about the wreath. It's the kind of thing that works well as a slow Saturday morning with friends, especially when the weather's turned and you're already thinking about Christmas.
If you've never made a wreath before, that's fine — the Studio Artemis florists are there to walk you through the process, from the base to the finishing touches. You'll get a feel for the different textures and scents that make a festive wreath, and you'll leave with something you've actually made yourself rather than something bought from a shop. It's a nice way to get a bit of the season sorted early, and you'll have the wreath ready to hang up long before the December rush kicks in.
