Weekly Monday evening life drawing class taught by David Bennison of Cambridge Figure Drawing, for over-16s.
Cambridge Figure Drawing is running a series of tutored life drawing classes at Cambridge Junction this autumn, with sessions every Monday evening in the J3 Building. They run from 7pm to 9pm, starting on Monday 21 September and continuing through to Monday 14 December — eleven sessions in total.
David Bennison, the founder and tutor of Cambridge Figure Drawing, leads the classes, and there's a varied rotation of professional models across the course. The setup is designed to be supportive and stress-free: you'll get one-to-one feedback and practical demonstrations during the session, and a weekly take-home task sheet to keep you going between Mondays. It's open to everyone from a first-time pencil user to an experienced artist, and the sessions are for over-16s.
Bennison hosts them in the J3 Building at the Cambridge Junction, a creative hub he describes as perfectly suited for artists. If you're just starting out, the one-to-one feedback means you won't be left guessing at your own work, and the take-home tasks give you something to chew on throughout the week. If you've been drawing for years, it's a steady, tutored space to keep your hand in.
