Christmas comedy show headlined by Nina Conti, with John Kearns, Toussaint Douglass and Bridget Christie, hosted by Jen Brister.
Nina Conti headlines Cambridge Corn Exchange on Thursday 3 December, as part of Live At Christmas. She's a British Comedy Award winner and a BAFTA nominee, known as the queen of ventriloquism, and she's coming to Cambridge after appearances on Live At The Apollo and Sunday Night at the Palladium. The Guardian described her as 'in supreme command of her comedy chaos', which gives you a fair idea of what to expect: a ventriloquist who doesn't just do the voices, but lets the whole thing run a bit wild.
She's not on her own, either. The bill brings together a few different styles of stand-up. John Kearns is a double Edinburgh Comedy Award winner, and Toussaint Douglass is a rising talent. Bridget Christie, a Taskmaster favourite, is also on the line-up, and Jen Brister, who you'll recognise from Live At The Apollo, hosts the night. Between the ventriloquism and the stand-up, it's a full evening of comedy rather than a single act.
It's a Christmas-themed night, so it works as a festive outing if you're looking for something to do around the holidays. The show is for ages 16 and over, so it's not one for the kids.
