An hour and a half of improvised comedy from the Impronauts, built on audience suggestions with no script and no rehearsals.
The Impronauts are back at the ADC Bar on Sunday 25 October, with a second date on Sunday 8 November. Both shows start at 8:00pm.
This is Quickfire, their signature night. It's about an hour and a half of improvised comedy built entirely on audience suggestions, with no script and no rehearsals, so no two shows ever turn out the same. The Impronauts are billed as Cambridge's best-loved improvised comedy troupe, and this is the format they're best known for. If you've seen them before, you'll know the drill: the material comes from the room, and the night changes depending on what the audience throws at them.
The venue is the ADC Bar, part of the ADC Theatre on Park Street. It's Britain's oldest university playhouse, run almost entirely by students with no faculty involvement. Plays have been staged here since 1855, when the Cambridge University Amateur Dramatic Club first met and performed in the back room of the Hoop Inn, which stood almost exactly where the theatre stands today. The troupe also runs open improvisation workshops every Sunday during term time in the same venue, so if you're interested in how it works, there's a way to get involved beyond just watching.

Tickets are £5-£7, and the show is suitable for ages 16 and over, with moderate bad language and references to moderate sexual activity. With two dates to choose from, you can pick the Sunday that suits you best: 25 October or 8 November, both at 8:00pm.
