Drop-in space for creativity, coffee or tea and conversation on the first Tuesday of the month, open to all ages and particularly welcoming to adults experiencing mental health challenges.
Creative Café is back at Cambridge Junction on Tuesday 3 November, the next session in a monthly drop-in that runs on the first Tuesday of every month. It's run by Studio Flourish CIC, and for those two hours they take over the J2 Foyer and turn it into a space for creativity, coffee or tea, and conversation.
One thing worth knowing right off the bat is what it isn't: it's not a facilitated workshop. There's no teacher at the front, no set project to finish, and no particular way you're expected to spend your time. Instead, it's just a space to be creative alongside other people, whether that means sketching, writing, or just having a chat over a brew. You can come in and get stuck into something, or just sit with a coffee and talk to whoever happens to be there.
It's open to everyone, and all ages are welcome, but it's particularly welcoming to adults experiencing mental health challenges. The whole point is connection, so if you've been feeling a bit isolated or just fancy a low-pressure way to get out of the house and be around people, this is exactly the kind of thing that fits. You don't need to be an 'artist' to come along, either — it's as much about the coffee and the conversation as it is about the creative side of things.

It runs from 10:30am to 12:30pm in the J2 Foyer at Cambridge Junction, and there's no need to book, so you can just turn up when you feel like it. If you miss this one, the next session will be on the first Tuesday of December.
