Caoilfhionn Rose

Caoilfhionn Rose plays Cambridge Junction on Tuesday 11 May 2027, with the show starting at 8:00 pm. She'll be performing in Junction 2, the venue's smaller room, which suits her sound well.

Rose is a Manchester-born singer, songwriter and producer who draws on nature, dreams and personal experience. She cut her teeth on the city's open mic circuit around 2013, and later collaborated with Vini Reilly of The Durutti Column, one of Factory Records' most distinctive artists, contributing four songs to the band's Chronicle LX:XL album. A café performance caught the attention of Gondwana Records founder Matthew Halsall, who invited her to make her 2018 debut Awaken, the first of three for the label, followed by Truly in 2021 and Constellation in 2024. As a bandleader she has headlined tours across the UK and Europe and supported acts such as Mammal Hands, GoGo Penguin and Hania Rani.

Her sound ties remnants of Manchester's musical past to its evolving present, drawing on folk, psychedelia and subtle electronica. It's a mix that sits somewhere between the acoustic and the atmospheric, and it's a good place to start if you're coming to her live for the first time. With three albums behind her now, there's plenty to pull from for a single set.

Tickets are £19.50 in advance, and the show is at 8:00 pm on Tuesday 11 May at Cambridge Junction, Clifton Way, CB1 7GX.
