Singer-songwriter Annie Dressner plays the Cambridge Junction with support from Dan Wilde.
Annie Dressner plays Cambridge Junction on Saturday 17 April 2027, with support from Dan Wilde. It's a local one for her: she's a singer-songwriter originally from New York City, now living right here in Cambridge. Her style is straightforward lyrics, smart wordplay and lilting vocals, and it's earned her plenty of play across UK national radio, including a live session on BBC 6 Music.
One of the songs you're likely to hear is 'For The Thrill Of It', her 2025 single featuring Kathryn Williams. It's a scathing commentary on sexual harassment in the music industry that went down well with the critics and made BBC 6Music's 'Best of 2025'. She's toured the UK widely supporting Danny and the Champions of the World, played with Badly Drawn Boy and Bernard Butler of Suede, and appeared at festivals like Green Man, Secret Garden Party and the Cambridge Folk Festival. She was also a break-out performer at AmericanaFest UK 2025 in Hackney.
Her fifth studio album was recorded with Peter Bruntnell at his Kingston studio, and it features guest musicians including Eric Heywood of The Pretenders on pedal steel. That Americana influence runs through her work, and this show will be a chance to hear her songs live in the city she now calls home.
