Tim Key's festive comedy show, a stand-up performance with reindeer, sleighbells and Christmas jumpers.
Tim Key brings his festive show, Chrimbo Bimbo, to the Bristol Old Vic on Monday 7 and Tuesday 8 December. It's part of a UK tour, so these are the only two nights he'll be in town.
If you're not familiar with him, Key is a British poet, comedian, actor and screenwriter who built his name at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, both as a solo act and as part of the comedy group Cowards. He's also the face behind Sidekick Simon in the various Alan Partridge film and television projects, so you've likely come across him even if you've never seen his stand-up.
Chrimbo Bimbo is a festive one. The premise is that he's tethered his long-suffering reindeer outside the Old Vic and returned to his sack with sleighbells, grubby old sprouts and festive film footage. Christmas jumpers are heavily encouraged, and bringing a Secret Santa is not exactly discouraged. It's a stand-up show that leans into the season, and the jumpers are a good hint at the kind of night it's meant to be.
